How to Create a Marketer

2 min read

Creating a marketer allows you to track commissions, assign hierarchies, and configure individual or global commission rates. Follow the steps below.

Step 1: Pre-Requisites (Must Read) #

Before creating a marketer, make sure:

  1. Task Types are Set Up:
Go to Task Types and define the tasks relevant to your business.
  2. Tasks Are Made Commissionable:
While setting up task types, ensure the Is Commissionable flag is enabled. ⚠️ If this is not done, commission rate dropdowns will appear empty when creating marketers.

Step 2: Open the Marketer Creation Form #

Navigate to Marketing → Marketers → Create New Marketer

Create Marketers Form

Step 3: Fill in Marketer Details #

Use this to assign downline-level commissions, where the marketer earns a portion of what their recruits earn.

FAQs #

Q: Why are commission type dropdowns empty?
A: You must set up Task Types and mark them as commissionable before creating marketers.

Q: What happens if I don’t define commission rates here?
A: The system will fallback to Global Commission Rates, which you can set under Marketing → Rates.

Q: Can marketers be moved under other marketers later?
A: Yes, but cyclic hierarchies (e.g. A under B and B under A) are automatically cleaned by the system to avoid conflicts.
